Bangladesh to host World Twenty20 2014

The ICC have awarded the next two World Twenty20 tournaments in 2012 and 2014 to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh respectively, while England will host the Champions Trophy in 2013. The 2015 World Cup will be held by Australia and New Zealand and the 2013 Women's World Cup will be played in India. The decisions were announced after a meeting of the ICC board in Singapore.

ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2012 to be held in Sri Lanka
  July 02, Colombo: The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced Thursday that the next Twenty20 World Cup will be held in Sri Lanka in 2012. The 2014 event will be held in Bangladesh, the ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat said in a statement.
The ICC is considering a move to increase the number of participating teams in the World Twenty20 while reducing the number in the 50-over World Cup.
Sri Lanka is co-hosting the 2011 one-day World Cup tournament from Feb. 19 to Apr. 2, 2011 along with India and Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka will host 12 matches including one quarter-final and a semi-final at three venues in the country.
